I spent over thirty-five years in the industrial gas business. For the first ten years of my career, I spent working in the Industrial Gas Industry as a Mechanical Engineer for the engineering of industrial gas equipment (Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Argon, Oxygen, and Hydrogen). Systems included complex cryogenic systems, compression systems, on-site nitrogen and hydrogen plants, and any custom industrial gas system. The late part of my Engineering career was managing projects and building Air Separation plants globally that produce the industrial gases.
The second and latest part of my career has been all Hydrogen Energy. I have had the pleasure of working with the fuel cell industry, electrolyzer industry, electric power generation industry, and vehicle OEM’s to promote the utilization of hydrogen for energy for fork trucks and vehicles (light, medium and heavy duty).
At present, I am helping my home town gas company Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) increase its sustainability efforts by utilizing hydrogen for transportation and other markets around the City of Philadelphia.
