Laura Brumsey
Laura Brumsey is the Senior Vice President at the Compressed Gas Association, Inc. (CGA), a leading standards development organization that promotes the safe handling, transportation, and use of industrial and medical gases. With over 16 years of experience in the industrial gases sector, Laura has developed a deep understanding of the industry and is passionate about educating others on the importance of safety.
Through CGA’s Safe Hydrogen Project and technical committees, Laura works with industry partners to unlock the potential of the hydrogen energy era by developing safety standards and fostering their adoption across the interconnected global economy. She is dedicated to realizing the full potential of the hydrogen energy economy and works closely with industry stakeholders to promote best practices and ensure that safety remains a top priority.
Laura holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Consumer Studies from Virginia Tech. In addition to her work at CGA, she actively participates in numerous standards organizations including the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Society for Standardization Professionals (SES).
