Senior Director of Renewables Engineering & Technical Support PSEG

Jeffrey Stokes is the Senior Director-Renewables Engineering & Technical Support for PSEG Services Group.  In this role is he is responsible leading the technical team for the PSEG’s Hydrogen Projects. He is also responsible for the performance and technical due diligence for offshore components of PSEG’s offshore wind, and advanced reactors (SMR) projects. The offshore components include the wind turbines, offshore substations and export and array cables.

 

Prior to his current role, Jeff was the Senior Director-Power Generation. In that capacity he was responsible for 4,400 MWs of combined cycle power generation plants in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Maryland.  Prior to that role, he was the Senior Director-SERVCO & Fossil Support Services, managing the PSEG Fossil Fleet’s Maintenance and Laboratory Services. This group performed the nuclear plant refueling outages at Salem and Hope Creek, as well as the coal, gas and combined-cycle outages.

 

Mr. Stokes joined PSEG in 2004 as an Operations Manager with the Bergen Generating Station.  In 2007, he served as the Operations Corporate Functional Manager (CFAM) and was instrumental in the design and rollout of the Fossil Operational Excellence Model (OEM).  He moved on to occupy successive positions of greater responsibility, including PSEG Energy Resources & Trading and as Plant Manager of the Sewaren and Bergen Generating Stations.  In 2012, he was appointed Director – Combined Cycle Maintenance and Outages, providing oversight for the company’s self-managed parts and services contracts for the maintenance of its combined-cycle gas turbines.

 

Prior to joining PSEG, Mr. Stokes worked for 12 years with General Electric, and served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Reactor Operator on a nuclear submarine.

 

In addition to his duties with the company, Mr. Stokes represents PSEG on the Board of the Research & Development Council of New Jersey, and on the Board of the Thomas Edison State University Foundation.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Thomas Edison State University
