Haiyan Sun
Program Manager New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)
Haiyan Sun is the team lead for hydrogen and clean fuels in New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). In this role, she is responsible for exploring the potential roles for hydrogen and other low carbon clean fuels in New York State, focusing on market analysis, research and development initiatives. Prior to her current role, she led the National Offshore Wind R&D Consortium program co-funded by DOE and NYSERDA.
Before joining NYSERDA, Haiyan was a senior product manager, responsible for lifecycle product strategy for GE Power’s 7F and 7H.01 gas turbines. Haiyan holds a PhD degree in electromagnetics, a master’s degree in electrical engineering, and a bachelor’s degree in physics.
