Gildas Bonnier

Gildas Bonnier is the Head of HYLA Partnerships and Sourcing at Nikola Corporation, where he leads efforts to build a hydrogen supply network supporting Nikola’s zero-emissions transportation vision. With over 20 years at Air Liquide, Bonnier has held cross-functional leadership roles spanning business development, supply chain, strategy, capital projects, and research and development, with a recent focus on hydrogen energy solutions.

As Business Development Director for Hydrogen Energy at Air Liquide, Bonnier developed partnerships with energy providers, OEMs, and fuel retailers, helping drive revenue growth and long-term market expansion. He was instrumental in advancing hydrogen infrastructure projects, including a liquefaction facility within the Department of Energy’s Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub.

Earlier in his career, Bonnier managed Air Liquide’s air gases product line in the U.S., coordinating production, distribution, and sales while initiating the development of new production capacity. In the Engineering and Construction division, he directed industrial projects, developed solutions for prospective customers, and led commissioning of production facilities across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Bonnier holds an MBA from The Wharton School, along with advanced degrees in Transportation Infrastructure and Mechanical Engineering.
