Alessia Falsarone

Alessia Falsarone is an independent director and member of the credit committee of Innovate UK Loans Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary and investment directorate of the UK Government’s innovation agency since 2023. She previously spent fifteen years as Managing Director, Head of Sustainable Investing, Portfolio Strategy and Risk for a global asset manager based in New York, and held investment leadership roles with American International Group, Citigroup and Credit Suisse in Europe, the US and Asia. Since 2022, Alessia serves as independent director of European insurer Generali Group, and has been part of high-level advisory groups promoting climate finance and green hydrogen investing including the Women in Green Hydrogen network, the London Stock Exchange, the International Capital Markets Association, and the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. A fellow of the Aspen Institute and adjunct faculty at the University of Chicago, she is a graduate of Stanford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Univ. Bocconi. In recognition of her innovative vision for business and society, she received the Honoree Award from the Women’s Venture Fund and the NACD 100™ for boardroom governance.
